Analysis of the Spatiotemporal Evolution Characteristics and Obstacle Factors of Rural Revitalization in Guangdong Province

Abstract：The rapid advancement of urbanization has made insufficient rural development the most prominent problem in the economic development process of Guangdong Province,and the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy is of great significance.This paper constructs an indicator system from five aspects of rural revitalization,namely,industrial prosperity,ecological livability,rural civilization,effective governance and affluent life.It uses the multi indicator comprehensive measurement method to evaluate the development level of rural revitalization in Guangdong Province from 2011 to 2021,and uses the obstacle degree model to explore the obstacle factors in its development process.The results indicate that since 2011,the level of rural revitalization development in Guangdong Province has gradually increased,and the ranking of rural revitalization levels in the Pearl River Delta and eastern Guangdong regions has risen,with changes in the spatial distribution of some areas.Finally,the article proposes countermeasures and suggestions from the aspects of promoting coordinated development in various aspects of rural areas in Guangdong Province,filling the gaps in regional development,optimizing industrial structure and spatial layout,and improving agricultural economic benefits.
