Abstract:The efficiency of rural finance in central and western region is lower than that of eastern region. This paper measured the disparities of regional rural ifnancial efifciency between provinces and between eastern, central and western regions in China from 2006 to 2010,using the index of GINI,GE1 and GE0.The ifndings demonstrated that the disparities of regional rural ifnancial efifciency increased ifrstly and then decreased, the disparity between provinces was the greatest and that between eastern, central and western regions was small. Then the disparities of regional rural ifnancial efifciency were decomposed by regression function decomposition method from economic base, politics and urbanization. Results revealed that the disparities of regional rural ifnancial efifciency was mainly due to the different individual effects of provinces which average contribution rate has reached 78.53%. Interference from the government was also an important factor which widened the disparities and its average contribution rate was 13.77%. Economic base and urbanization narrowed the gap of regional rural ifnancial efifciency which average contribution rates were-2.11%and-1.39%.
