A Survey and Thinking on the Development of Farmer Organizations--Taking the Xiabai Village as an Example

Abstract：Xiabai Village is a natural village in Yuncheng district, it formed its own farmer organizations spontaneously. The organization structure is particular,practical and operable, it helps the village develop well in all aspects. There are three reasons for its formation: the maintenance and identity of traditional family culture;institutional innovation varied with economic development continuously;authority in the village played a positive role at crucial moment. Meanwhile, farmer’s strong identity of village and less administrative intervention are the advantages for the natural development of farmer organization. Therefore, from the perspective of sustainable and efifcient development, there are several things could be done:to protect the farmers' land property rights;to deal with the relationship between village organizations and other farmer organization;to cultivating farmers organization based on a natural village;to fully repect the farmer's habits and practicality. Finally, the farmers can explore suitable organization structure from their own circumstances.
