Pursing Urban-Rural Integration of Social Pension Systems in Pearl River Delta

Abstract：This paper focuses on the paths, problems and suggestions of urban-rural integration of social pension systems in Pearl River Delta. Research shows that the integrative paths include establishing a single social pension system for the whole city, transferring rural pension system into the urban one, and founding urban-rural residents pension system. The primary problems are:1.still existing fragments of the system;2.the large urban-rural pension gap;3.the serious collective welfare tendency among rural residents. To further the urban-rural integration of social pension systems, the local goverments should enhance system integration, increase ifscal investment and eliminate the collective welfare tendency.
