Analysis of Farmers’ Demand Ability of Agricultural Science and Technology in Guangdong Province Based on ELES Model

Abstract：We calculate the basic criterion to judge farmers’ demand ability of agricultural science and technology with ELES model and analyze rural per capita net income in parallel from 2007 to 2011 in Guangdong Province. Research shows that most farmers are capable of paying agricultural science and technology, so henceforth what should be paid more attention to is to stimulate farmers’ strong demand will. Besides, low income farmers’ demand ability and technological adoption rate should be obviously improved by giving them more policy support, so as to promote agricultural science and technology to play a role in reducing farmers’ income gap.
