Study on the Performance Evaluation of Microifnance on Poverty Reduction under the Background of Credit Project in Yunan County

Abstract：Microifnance is one of effective tools of ifnancial services, and therefore the research on its performance of poverty reduction plays an important role on the financial reform and innovation in China. This paper studies the performance of microifnance on poverty reduction under the background of Credit Project in Yu-Nan County. The results of statistical analysis of questionnaires reveal that microifnance can ease farmers’ loan dififculties and improve their living standards to a certain extent, however, the effect is not so obvious, and therefore there is a large development space for Credit Project. Through empirical analysis, we can make conclusions that microifnance can increase farmers' income, but the effect needs to be improved. For different income groups, the poverty performance of microfinance on poverty reduction in low and middle income groups is not obvious, but for high-income households, it is signiifcant.
