Construction Status and Development Strategies of Guangdong New Rural Library Resources

Abstract：Construction status of rural library resources significantly influences the economic and social developments of Guangdong province, a developed coastal area. Currently, the peasants’ reading-room, rural libraries and mobile libraries and other related projects have made apparent progress in Guangdong, which greatly improves the knowledge of farmers. However, the weakness of government functions, low level of personalized service and significant regional differences, caused weakening construction of cultural environment, inadequate information services and unfocused information target. This paper analyzes the construction status and actual demand of rural library resources of Guangdong, and raises some countermeasures to improve the service levels of rural library resources.
