A study on City Dwellers’ Tourist Consumption Behavior in Rural Areas -Based on the Case Study of Wuhan City

Abstract：rural tourism is of great importance to shorten the income gap between urban and rural areas. This study conducts a quantitative study on Wuhan city’s dwellers’ tourist consumption behavior in rural areas by questionnaire survey and demographic statistics. It shows that the motives of rural tourist behavior of Wuhan city dwellers include admiring nature landscape, breathing fresh air and relaxation. Food safety, characteristic landscape and distinctive culture are regarded as important factors of rural tourism for Wuhan city dwellers.
