Abstract:Today, prefabricated buildings are highly favored because of their high construction efficiency and low environmental pollution. The thermal performance of civil building exterior walls in hot summer and warm winter areas is mainly focused on heat proofing. This paper analyzes the thermal performance of concrete precast panels used as the external wall of prefabricated buildings and the improvement of their thermal performance by two measures: a composite insulation layer, and a reflective coating with insulation putty. The results show that thin concrete precast wall panels cannot meet the requirements of current standards for energy efficiency and thermal insulation; however, incorporation of an insulating mold coating plus insulation putty is suitable for improving the thermal performance of precast external wall panels in hot summer and warm winter areas.
