Abstract:Analysis of the current condition of existing public buildings, which are characterized by large scale, high energy consumption, poor indoor environment and low overall disaster prevention performance, has determined that implementation of comprehensive performance improvement and transformation is imperative. This comprehensive performance improvement for such large-scale existing public buildings must be supported by scientific, rational and operable top-level design and road map guidance. Based on the current situation and long-term development necessity, this paper analyses the influence of policy, economy, society, technology and market on compilation of the road map and puts forward the research ideas on road map construction supported by the trinity of objective status, evaluation hierarchy and policy orientation. Finally, a strategic path for the comprehensive performance improvement of existing public buildings is compiled, which covers the target setting, path design, transformation focus, and safeguard mechanism.
