Abstract：Xitou Village is a mountain village with rich natural environment and ancient Lingnan culture. In the process of social transformation, Xitou Village has undergone tremendous transformation from hollow village and impoverished village to full of vitality, and the natural and humanistic heritage has been effectively protected and utilized. Recalling the course, Xitou Village Conservation and Development Program has played a key role Guidance. Through the interpretation of the core idea of Xitou village planning and the summing-up of the successful experience of protection and activation, this article summarizes the transformation of the ancient village from adhering to the government to encouraging the participation of villagers. From the public policy to the planning strategy, Series of more successful measures, with a view to China's traditional village conservation and activation work to provide some reference.
