Study of Wayside Pavilion on The Ruyuan Xijing Historical Trail

Abstract：From the ancient times, the Xijing historical trail has been an important channel of the Lingnan area and Central plain area, and an important connection of the Sea and Land Silk Road too. It has important impaction of the social economic and cultural connection development along it. Along the historical trail, there are different types of transportation facilities and buildings, such as post offices, mansions, post shops, courier station (pavilions),bridges and so on. Many pavilions are preserved in the Ruyuan area of Xijing road, even though these buildings are small, they do have the architectural features and architectural wisdom. which the paper discusses.
