Two Trends of Guangdong Greenway System Evolution: The Significance of the Revitalization of South China Historical Trail to Guangdong Greenway System

Abstract：The construction of the Pearl River Delta greenway network leads to the realization of the greenway concept in China. However, its own background mark is also obvious. After several years of exploration, Guangdong greenway system has showed two evolution direction. In the urbanized area, the greenway is more closely integrated with the public's sports and leisure needs. On the provincial scale, the revival of the South China historical trail, now plays a new role of meeting the public cultural needs, showing another directionof the Guangdong Greenway evolution. A new layout of path combination for the greenway, which is a double-path combination interweaved like a 8-shape, is better for both new function of the greenway and the diversification of the user's experience.
