Abstract：The military defense system of Ming Dynasty created a large number of immigrants like Bali Castle. The Ancestral Temple of Clan Liu is located in the Bali Castle of Yizhang County, which is a provincial conservation unit of cultural relics. The Ancestral Temple of Clan Liu is the important material data for investigating the Castle, the Military system, the local culture, the ancestral temple of the Ming Dynasty. Through historical documents, cultural relics construction, social investigation and other evidence, this paper illustrates the history and architectural culture of Yizhang ancestral temple from historical, architectural, sociological points of view,compares the architectural form and architectural ornament of The Ancestral Temple of Clan Liu with the ancestral temple of other areas,and summarizes the characteristics of the Architectural Culture of Ancestral Temple of of Clan Liu military castle of Yizhang County, a kind of hybrid regional culture based on Hu-nan Culture system. The research is of great significance to the studies of the culture and social history under the background of military migrants.
