Evaluation on Architectural Delight and User Satisfaction of Architectural Space

Abstract：User satisfaction is one of important parameters of evaluating architectural space. This paper investigated what does satisfaction actually mean and how does satisfaction connect with "delight" (quoted from The Pritzker Architecture Prize). The aim of this paper is to discuss the necessity and practical significance of assessment of user satisfaction, so that a new development of satisfaction assessment process is proposed based on spatial configuration and space syntax has been widely used through reviewing the exist studies on assessment of satisfaction.
