Discovery & Transformation: the Teaching Exploration of Urban Residential Building Design Course Based on Issue Driven

Abstract：With the rapid development of real estate in China, there are some undesirable tendencies in Urban Residential Building Design Course, such as indefinite emphasizes and prior designs copy. According to the teaching requirement which is focused on the principles of residential design, the course makes an exploration named Urban Residential Building Design Course Based on Issue Driven. It tries to make an issue driven chain to encourage undergraduates study actively and design purposefully with teachers' guidance of issue discovery and the control of issue transformation. The method of teaching contributes to achieving the teaching targets, and helps undergraduates design innovatively and get professional outlook from social perspective.
