Restorative Environment, Health and Green Urbanism

Abstract：Based on the theory of restorative environment, the potentials on mental restorativeness and attention recovery of urban green spaces in highly densive urban context was discussed, parlicularly on the neighborhood green spaces, healing garden, and built environment. Colaborated with the research of active living research (ALR) , the author believes that the restorative environment could be integrated with the spaces of social communication to build the supportive environment for people's healthy life in highly densive city environment. Restorative environment wil be one of the fundamental theories of green urban design for sustainable urbanism, and for integration of landscape, architecture and urban planning.
