A Research on Conception and Preservation of Urban Landmarks

Abstract：Through the research on the multiple interpretation of urban landmarks in current China, as well as the comparison of the identification in legal system between domestic and abroad, the paper analyzes the chaos in constructing urban landmarks, and conceptual and identified confusions. It points out the importance to establish a proper and clear awareness on the definition of urban landmarks, and to establish also feasible laws and regulations in China.
