The Review and Prospect of Research on Planning and Construction of University Town

Abstract：Since the end of 1990s, Chinese urban planners have planned a great deal of university town and done related theoretical research which connected the construction with the development of knowledge economy and expansion & regroup of urban space of China. Based on the related core journals and thesis of doctor and master, this paper col ects, col ates and analyze related research on Chinese university town to classify and review the achievement. Through this process, the development history of university town is stated and the construction motivation and essence is understood. This paper also evaluates the existing situation and outlooks the future direction of university town to provide the base for the optimization of its developing space.
