Origins of Thoughts of Early Lingnan Architecture School

Abstract：Lingnan Architecture School is a group of architects and architectural academicians, who are mainly active in South China University of Technology and its predecessor. Based on the academic achievements and the design works of Xia Changshi, Lin Keming, Long Qingzhong, Chen Boqi and other architects, this article points out that ideological trend of modern architecture, culture of traditional Chinese architecture, and the cultural spirit of Lingnan are three origins of thoughts of the early Lingnan Architecture School.
