Abstract：Under the background of rapid growth of aging population al through the world, the paper started with the improving socialization and the social security system. The development history of senior housing communities in China has been explicated from the welfare homes, and gerocomiums, and apartments for the elderly, and independent senior housing communities to the complex senior housing communities. Senior Housing Community in Yixing city has been used as case study to shield a light on the new direction and innovative strategies about the supporting system on senior housing, and a high-level development of age-friendly cities as wel.
