Study on Conservation of Kunming Modern Architecture：From “Relic Protection site” to “Modern Architectural Heritage”

Abstract：Since the concept of "modern architectural heritage" had been raised up by DOCOMOMO, great successes on architecture conservation have been achieved oversea. This paper combined the DOCOMOMO "modern architectural heritage" conservation concept and the domestic "relic protection site", analyzed the enlightenment of "modern architectural heritage" system and found out that the limitations in the “relic protection law”. The conservation strategies of "modern architectural heritage" in China had been discussed from the aspects of the "integrity", the "readability" and the inspiration of Wuhan and Madrid documents.
