Strategies and Prospects of Urban Design for New-type Urbanization

Abstract：abstract According to the requirements of New-type Urbanization, this paper discusses the important function of urban design. It reviews the controversy of the evaluation standards of urban design, and summarizes its typical patterns in local practices. Furthermore, the paper explains the problems and strategies of legal environment and market environment for urban design. Final y, the paper puts forward the major research contents and technology system of ecological urban design, and points out that the ecological-based urban design wil be the future direction of sustainable development in China.
