Abstract：abstract In connection with the current crisis of city losing its local identities, this paper studies the elements and standards of good city forms, and rethinks the objectives, principles and core values of urban design. In the end, at the practical level, it puts forward suggestions on how urban design can enhance the quality of urban space.
