The Methodological Discussion on Urban Planning on the Concept of Sponge City

Abstract：Through the analysis of the main problems existing in urban planning and its inner links with the prominent urban water environment problem, such as the city drainage waterlogging, stormwater runoff polution and the shortage of water resources. Starting from the point of urban construction land control and each level connection of urban planning, the ideas of solving the problem of city water environment is put forward from the source of the city construction, therefore, the sponge city construction has been incorporated into each stage of urban planning. a pilot construction project of the sponge city at 2015 is taken as an example, under the concept of the sponge city, how to realize the effective connection between urban overal planning, detailed planning and special planning is introduced in detail, in order to provide planning and design methods which can be used for reference for the construction of China's sponge city.
