Choices of Low Carbon Public Transportion:A Case Study of Guangzhou Haizhu Eco-City

Abstract：aBsTRacT As low-carbon economy becomes common value, low-carbon transportation is getting more and more attention. A reasonable choice of public transport can consequently reduces energy consumption and greenhouse gas emission. Based on passenger demand and character research, as wel as the quantification of carbon emissions for each passenger transportation type, this paper proposes an analytic hierarchy process (AHP) method to evaluate and select public transportation modes. Final y, the method is applied in Guangzhou Haizhu Eco City to explore a reasonable choice for transportation modes.
