Abstract:aBsTRacT Using Fractal Theory, this paper describes the spatial formation mechanism, analyzes architecture theory of Two Concepts and Three Features, as well as the works of Lingnan architectural school. Architectural fractal theory exhibits self-similarity between the whole and its parts, as wel as relationship between repetition, inlaying and similarity of architectural space. The complexity of architectural space can be generated by the iteration of simple spatial units, and later juxtaposed or inlayed according to the functional requirements. The theory of Two Concepts and Three Features emphasizes that architectural design needs to consider the regional climate, environment, culture, and social spirit, which is essentially a self-similarity harmony thinking of fractal iteration.
