Abstract：With the changing urban and economic development goal from speed to quality , accelerating the transformation and upgrading of traditional manufacturing industries is a necessary requirement for new urbanization development of PRD specialized town. XinTang is a town which the denim industry clusters has the most complete industrial chain, and the production is the world's largest. The denim garment industry’s transformation and upgrading in XinTang plays an exemplary role in t the Pearl River Delta and even nationwide. This paper analyzes the development process, the problems, and challenges of XinTang’s denim garment industry.Based on this, the article put forward remedial measures aiming to provide a theoretical basis for the transformation and upgrading of XinTang’s denim garment industry and other traditional manufacturing industries.
