Abstract：Taking three garden-style restaurants for examples in Guangzhou, which are all designed by Mo Bozhi (academician of China Engineering Academy),this paper elaborates the inheritance and development of Lingnan traditional gardening techniquesin three aspects--spaces layout, water system layout and stone arrangement. The article also probe into the fundamental reasons on the difference between the modern restaurant and traditional house which includes functions, users and time.
