Understand the Architectural History Through Publications：Study on Modern Chinese Architectural Books

Abstract：Architectural book is the medium of spreading architectural knowledge. The publishing of modern Chinese architectural books changed the situation that there are very few specialized architectural books in Chinese history and influenced the development of architecture in modern China. So it is very necessary to research on modern Chinese architectural books. A table is listed systematical y in this paper which contains the titles, the authors, the publishing time and the publishers of modern Chinese architectural books, and on this basis the features of modern Chinese architectural booksare analyzed. In the end, the authors, the content, the editorial purposes, and the readers of republished books such as Building, Building Construction, and Building Architecture are general y discussed.
