Dialogues Between Temple and Temple Fair Beyond Time and Space：The Research on the Revival of Futianjing Temple Historical Areas in Sijing Old Town of Shanghai

Abstract：Sijing old town located in Songjiang district has a long history. The heart of town named Xiatang village, it has wel -preserved jiangnan traditional style, and is a national historical and cultural vil age. The paper discuss the revival strategy of Futianjing temple historical areas, through repairing of historical context, reconstructing of Sijing town public space, and reviving folk culture of temple fair, to activate the rural residents’vitality and cohesion, raise the level of their cultural life, final y realize the inheritance and continuation of Sijing traditional folk culture and regional place spirit.
