Abstract：Vernacular architecture in Zhejiang Province varies in category with a complex cause. This article focuses on the relationship between the master and craftsman, introducing the concept of hierarchic vernacular character atlases based on architectural anthropology and linguistics so as to study on the vernacular divisions of Zhejiang province.
