Abstract：“Shingle House”in Shangri-la is a kind of unique traditional Tibetan dwellings which has the obvious construction intel igence. For the past few years, along with the change of life-style and productionmode, and the import of new building materials and technology, the“Shingle House”Appears diversified evolution trend. What a kind of evolution patterns are what we advocate“regeneration”? Taking the replace of“Shingle”as an example, this paper tries to use a problematic way to find the regeneration way of“Shingle House”in view of the reality of vernacular architecture.
