Effectiveness Analysis on Office-oriented Community Public Space from the Perspective of Social Network

Abstract：Existence of public space is not always reasonable, and under the influence of social factor, inappropriate spatial form may have negative effects on the community. At the same time, some public spaces which can produce greater social benefits but cannot realize immediate interests are often ignored. Therefore, compared with specific design methods, how to judge whether the public space of the community is effective is even more critical. This paper, from the theoretical perspective of social network, makes use of new effectiveness assessment framework of public space to conduct the empirical analysis on the public space of one creation research center in order to find out which type of public space is effective and conducive to the construction of social network in certain community.
