Research Progresses on Historical Cultural Villages in GuiZhou Province

Abstract： There are a number of historical cultural vil ages in GuiZhou province, they are being concerned in recent years. After reviewing the research progresses of historical cultural villages in GuiZhou, the paper concludes that previous research enters a phase of multi-disciplinary study ,containing Architecture, Urban and Rural Planning, Tourism Management, Landscape Ecology, Ethnology, Sociology. Previous researches focus on architectural space and landscape features, conservation planning, vil age cultural heritage protection and tourism development. But the studies on evolution and dynamic mechanism, establishment of protection legislation, tourism development feedback,disaster prevention and mitigation needed to be strengthened.
