The Research Background and Progress of Weathering in Landscape Architecture

Abstract： During the turn of 21st century, several American modern landscape icons were falling into disrepair, some requiring major renovation or even replacement. The situation made the profession be aware about the weathering in landscape architecture and start to study on the topic. This article introduces the background, the definition and classic books on this subject through documentation research, then explains the significance of this research in China, final y points out the potential further research expansion.
