Supplement Study on the Gardening Design of Lingnan Architects

Abstract：Garden research is in the field that Lingnan architectural school concerned from the early period. For Lingnan architectural school, Constant and in-depth study in this domain became an important source of design innovation. The interaction between garden research and design practice and the uninterrupted garden study of Lingnan architects both promoted the development of Lingnan architectural school. Existing studies have relatively comprehensive introduction on the combination of modern architecture designs and Lingnan Garden, while the garden design studies of Lingnan architects relatively lack of systematic combing. By exploring the garden design research literature by Lingnan architects from 1950s to 1980s, connecting relevant historical information and combing the context, the development of Lingnan garden design study could be understood systematical y, also, the spirits of learning and innovating as wel as the mode of cooperating and developing could be inspected from another perspective.
