Research on the Urban Management legal System of Shanghai International Settlement City

Abstract：As a "state within a state", Shanghai International Settlement followed Western countries’ Legal Spirit, forming a relatively complete legal system for urban construction and management during the development process. On the basis of historical data, this paper methodizes the regulations that relate to external space in Shanghai International Settlement, mainly including land regulations and building regulations, to explore the process of establishing construction regulations and improving urban construction management. It is also useful to contemporary urban planning development.
