Research on the Vietnamese’s Royal Garden Art in Hue City

Abstract：The Royal Garden in Hue City is the essential of the classical gardens of Vietnam and remained in a perfect condition. This paper studies the background of it including the course of development and classification of the garden. It starts with a comprehensive analysis of the foreign culture (philosophy and aesthetic impact of the Chinese and French culture) factors on the Hue City Royal Garden, then analyzes the influence of the local cultural connotation and the natural environment (geography, topography, climate, etc.) to the planning layout and the horticulture. Eventually, it summarizes various influencing factors, and the unique style of the Hue royal garden's own.
