Study In the Public Space Form of Traditional Cantonese Village:the Case of Guangzhou Panyu

Abstract：The traditional Cantonese village in Pearl River Delta is an important part of LingNan traditional settlements. It represented the special natural environments of LingNan region, and social history and culture with various intensions. The central space, as the central public space in the structure shape of the traditional Cantonese vil age, especial y manifested the vil age life vigor and the characteristic value. Through the exploration of local culture in studying the structure shape of the central space, the paper tries to find some doable way to help the vil age space renewing in the New Rural Development.
