Abstract： The development of computer software technology brought revolutionary elements in the architectural design, and made the skin of buildings eventually an independent process of construction. This paper considers the parametric design as a lens to analyze cases of domestic and oversea buildings and the corresponding design practice, comparing the application of parametric technology that was used in the skin design to summarize the general principles and strategies.
