Abstract： aBStract The city Hezhou in Guangxi province, wich is located across the Nanling passageway, is one of the major habitation of Guangxi Hakka. The round houses and places characteristically inhabited by Hezhou Hakka represent the features of their ability to acclimatize and keep customs such as chosing the site, planning, construction technology, aesthetic taste and philosophy. Meanwhile, for the understanding of the culture and architectural history of Guangxi Hakka, it is important to discover the mechanism by what the round houses and places were shaped and developed.
