Abstract： aBStract The study proposes an analysis of the Qinghai natural geographical divisions based on fieldwork on Qinghai province's traditional houses. The habitat of different parts of the region are remarked by the Regional Vernacular Architecture prototype, and therefore the paper argues that the architectural culture does not exist independently from the local natural environment.
