Analysis on Building Construction Technique of Wenxi Houji Temple in Shanxi Province

Abstract： This paper analyzes the historical development and construction techniques of Wenxi Houji Temple to find out the differences between Houji Temple and the buildings in Song and Jin dynasties. It goes on to compare Houji Temple with Ying-tsao-fa-shih in Song dynasty and Taiyin Temple in Jin dynasty. Furthermore, this paper studies the influences of Song-Jin buildings in southern Shanxi on Yuan buildings, for the sake of deeper understanding of the heritage, development, context, and regularity of early buildings in southern Shanxi.
