The Research Foundation and Proposal for Northwest Hui Settlement:Taking Ningxia Xihaigu Region as an Example

Abstract： Under the current model of urbanization, Hui settlement buildings are abandoning the traditional construction wisdom,ignoring the constraints of geographical resources and the cultural heritage of ethnic geographical phenomenon, resulting in resource damage and worsening built environment. The research on Xihaigu Hui settlement construction in Ningxia system, will not only help to improve the Ningxia region living environment, but also enlighten the settlement construction of the common ethnic minority areas in Northwest China. The research on Hui settlement is formed by four aspects, and it proposes three modes for future Hui settlement construction:transformation of traditional settlement, suburban settlement improvement, and ecological immigrant vil age construction.
