Analysis of Fencheng Ancient Town Settlement Pattern

Abstract： Fencheng town in Xiangfen county, Shanxi evolved from Taiping ancient county, even to this day keeps the complete pattern and basic elements of Chinese ancient county-level city. It has high research value. Based on the first-hand materials from field surveys, the paper analyzes Fencheng ancient town's historical background, settlement pattern, and architectural form. It final y summarizes the value and characteristics of the ancient town.
