The geomantic characteristics of the Beijing Prince Gong’s Palace
Abstract：The geomantic as an ancient and mysterious traditional culture plays an irreplaceable role in ancient China's different types of construction activities. The geomantic is a relatively complete set of construction theoretical system which gradually formed through thousands of years by Chinese people's practice and research on the relationship among construction, environment and human beings. This theoretical system has a great impact on Beijing Prince Gong Palace's construction. This article analysis the geomantic characteristics in Prince Gong Palace including the layout of the site, construction management and garden buildings, and explain the relationship of traditional architecture and the value of culture.
