The Exploration of the Traditional Blockhouse in southern region of Qinghai

Abstract：The southern Qinghai is special in its geological location, whose natural and human environment shows lively regional characteristics. With the continuous and increasing development of the economic and social, the vernacular dwellings are brought into an important period of transition. Starting from the regional resources, climate and natural environment of the Southern Qinghai, this study is focus on the analysis of the environmental-friendly living wisdom of the traditional Diaofang, which is in order to summarize the way how to take full advantage of the regional characteristics, such as regional resources, climate and environmental-friendly traditional skills. On the other hand, In view of the existing problems in the construct of new dwellings, we learn from the useful experience, basing on Environmental Protection, explore the way how to set up the renewal mode, which takes advantage of the regional environment, integrates new and traditional technologies, inherit the national culture.
