The Integration of the Urban Design Method in the Regulatory Detailed Planning
Abstract：The Urban design scheme and the urban design guideline are two different stages of the urban design process. The former is the materialization and spatialization of the urban planning goals, the latter is the tool and approach of achieving the goals. This paper discusses the relationship between the urban design and the regulatory detailed planning through two planning cases, indicates that the urban design guideline is the regulatory tool for the urban public space. The integration of the urban design guideline and the regulatory detailed planning will improve the regulatory means of urban form while adapt to the current legal system.
