Methods for Localized Urban Design: A Case Study for the Design Competition Projects of Guangzhou International Financial City
Abstract：For the urban design for high density city centres, high-rise building cluster seems to be the common result. Taking the design competition projects for Guangzhou International Financial City as the examples, the author analyzes the biological systems, building forms and public space systems. The purpose is to explore the design methods to enhance the local characteristics and to provide lessons for urban development in Lingnan area, within the context of large scale and high density city centre development.
